# Sava Physical Set Assembly Manual

The images in `screenshots/` are generated from the same STLs that are meant
for printing. The board pieces are shown with exaggerated separation in the
assembly images only; the real assembled board is a 330 mm diameter.

## Board Assembly

1. Print `board_quadrant_1.stl` through `board_quadrant_4.stl` flat-side down.
2. Identify the alternating male and female seam keys on the underside edges.
3. Start with two neighboring quadrants and slide the tapered key together from
the outside edge. Do not press vertically into the seam.
4. Add the remaining two quadrants the same way until all four rings and strand
   lines are continuous.
5. See `00-quadrant-assembly-layout.png` for part orientation and
   `01-complete-board-topology.png` for the assembled topology.

## Playing Pieces

1. Print one Matron, Wizard, Priestess, Weaponmaster, and eight Orc copies for
   each color.
2. Place the flat token bases in the shallow dishes. The dish floor carries the
node coordinate; the raised top glyph identifies the piece from above.
3. The starting-position scene is `01-in-play-initial-position.png`.

## Cups and Reversible Lids

1. Print two `capture_cup.stl` bodies and two `capture_cup_lid.stl` lids.
2. During play, leave the cups open beside the board. Each cup has room for one
12-piece army plus one Spider Die.
3. Slide the lid in from the cup's long side. Its two tapered rails engage the
two matching grooves in the cup walls.
4. The cup has the same groove geometry at both ends. Flip the lid over to use
it at the opposite end, which allows the cup/lid units to clamp the stored
board stack without a permanently exposed bottom rail.
5. `02-cup-parts-and-capacity.png` shows the cup contents and `03-reversible-
   cup-lid-positions.png` shows both lid positions.

## Storage

1. Rotate all four board quadrants into the same orientation and stack them.
2. Place one closed cup along each straight side of the quarter-circle stack.
3. Slide the cup units along the exposed tapered board keys until the stack is
   captured between them.
4. `06-storage-quarter-circle-wedge.png` shows the target compact arrangement.

## Dice

Print one `spider_die_five_spiders.stl` and one
`spider_die_six_spiders.stl`. Every face on both octahedral dice is marked: the
first has five Spider faces and three Knife faces; the second has six Spider
faces and two Knife faces. The multi-angle view is
`04-spider-and-knife-die-faces.png`.

## Revision 2 Geometry Checks

- Every connected pair of dishes has at least 6 mm clear frontage.
- Every node belongs to at least one ring or strand edge.
- Every individual printable STL is checked for watertightness before release.
- The board's ring radii and outer shell are sized specifically to prevent
overlapping or clipped dishes; the 330 mm board still fits a 220 mm printer
  bed as four quadrant tiles.
